Day 3: Basket Ball

Another fine performance by JEC. Great team game and awesomely timed jumps proved deadly for the opponents. BIT Mesra bagged their match making their smart passes the sight of the game. Match timings proved a blessing in disguise for MERI as they were awarded a walkover in the absence of injured YMCA players. GCET players took full advantage of their high shoulders against BIT Durg and made some awesome baskets.

IT BHU girls gave another fine performance against BSA CET girls. Saumya and Prachi emerged as the jewels again . It was a mesmerizing win by 20-1.

UGI again suffered their problem of "BHAUKALI" players as they tried all the tricks out from the style book but they all resulted in utter failures. CHACHA and Arvind were the hereoes again.

JEC won their game with absolute easiness against BSA CET. BIT Mesra won their second match of the day against BIT Durg.       BAS-ITM won their match beating Galgotians by a single point. Competition remained cut throat during the whole match.

Day 3: Hand Ball

Initial knockouts are over. It’s time for Big Matches tomorrow as IT BHU take on AMU in the First Semi Final and CSIT take on Jabalpur Nodal in the Second Semi Final.

Day 3: Foot Ball

It was the third day of Spardha 2010.The football fever reached the epoch of its beauty.The matches began early in the morning & continued till the evening setting the pace towards the glory

awaiting for the teams.

The day was a wholesome package.However,It was MERI,Kolkatta setting its supermacy in the tournament by a seven nil thumping victory over YMCA.

It was the final day of league matches.Tomorrow is the semifinal.Well the day brought exuberance to the faces of IT-JUNTA with IT reaching the semis.Other teams to qualify were SSCET, MERI,Kolkatta ,& BIT Durg.

IT will have to face SSCET in tomorrows matches.Well it is going to be a day of extreme heightened glory & excitement.We expect the entire IT-JUNTA to come forward & support the IT team.The day is going to rock

Day 3: Hockey

It was fantastic to watch the Hocket match between IT-BHU and MERI in which both the teams showed some great skills of game.But in the end, it was IT who again ruled & wrapped the match by 2-1. The match was close and it had some great moments in the last few minutes. The sovenier defence by our goal keeper GUPTA and captain JAYANT along with the trio of PRABHJOT,VIVEK and RAJ ensured another win for IT. The goals were awesome which came  from the sticks of ASHISH and RAJKAMAL by a great piece of passing from MANISH,ADITYA,ARJUN and SARAD.The first yearites were not at all in the substitutes and were given equal chances of playing the game.MANISH(16),ANURAG(12),SHANU(13)and NITIN(15) made their debut  in spardha.

Day 2: Badminton

The first day at amphi badminton court saw no matches as teams weren't ready and wanted to practice on the courts.There are only 2 courts to practice as 2 others are occupied by boxing rings,where participants were busy taking photographs along with the practice.........

21 teams of boys and 6 teams of girls are competing in the tournamentThe Second day kicked off with a walkover as LDC Allahabad had only 2 players and then began the real encounter, the clash of the champions started for the crown. IT team played as true champs defeating GALGOTIA and IET Lucknow convincingly. Among others JABALPUR NODAL,BIT DURG and ISM DHANBAD were impressive and had a winning start.

The knockout stage is complete and from tomorrow league matches will start consisting of 8 teams in boys and 4 in girls.

LIVE ACTION BEGINS AT AMPHI BADDY COURT FROM 10 am in the morning, make sure you come there and watch your team competing for the title and see our team lead by AMAY BAOKAR heading towards the title.

Day 2: Hockey

Our National Sport Hockey may not be the most popular of sports across the nation,but when it comes to hockey matches at Spardha,they are as energetic as electrons. The first match was between YMCA and MERI ,Kolkata which was dominated by MERI,Kolkata with the score line 8-0. But in midst of the game one of the players of the YMCA team got injured as he was hit by the hockey of another player by mistake and was immediately taken to SSL hospital. The YMCA team didn't played after that sad incident and MERI Kolkata was declared the winner. In the second match IT-BHU got a bye too as YMCA didn't played the match in the evening.  

Tomorrow is a new day and hope everything goes out well in the field and we see great Hockey action..

Day 2: Basket Ball

Match Reviews:

UGI had a great style but lacked substance and their extra show off of style made them lose the match. AOT were also average during the match.ABHISHEK MALWI of Malwa  played exceptionally well.

In girls clash, PRACHI from IT team played a great game.MONICA was a bit rough with opponent but was the best.The opponenets of IT BHU were never in the game but NO.15 an NO. 4 were quite famous among the crowd of K.N,MODI.

K.N.MODI said that it was not there original basketball team and they were happy just to participate(GREAT ATTITUDE). When MONICA(captain) was asked for her views about opponenet she said "you yourself saw the match so now no need to comment on them.(WHAT ATTITUDE!!!!!) 

The IT Junta didn’t disappoint as they came out in huge numbers to support the Girls’ Basket Ball Team.
