So three cheers for IT Chess team...

Day 4: Hockey

The team with injuries, yes the combination today was not up to the marks and it cost a match to IT-BHU.After a close defeat yesteday team M.E.R.I. came up with practice and new strategies and played really well. IT lost the match by 2-0. The IT captain was not at all happy and aid that the team's performance was below par today and so the team had a very long and tough pratice session ensuring that IT not gonna lose the grand finale of the game. There were a number of  faults oour defence and they took them as  golden opportunities to convert them into goals. The team thinktank of IT will comethrough these errors and will show some real game tomorrow. The opponents were not lagging behind in rough gaming and almost hurt Manish(14),Aditya,Prabhjot and Rahul. But the man from Jharkhand, Rahul was not behind in showing aggressions.
HOPE FOR BEST AND THREE CHEERS FOR IT

Football 4

It was the fourth day of Spardha 2010.
The day of the semis! The warriors were in a do or die situation. One win could raise the team to glory.
The other team will perish. The situation had its own crunched thrill.
The first match was a sort of a gamble with repeated attacks from both sides. The game was forced to go into a penalty shoot out.
However, it was finally BIT Durg surviving the crush making merry at the end of the day.
Finally it was a gloom day for IT-JUNTA with IT facing a crushing defeat in the hands of SSCET, hence, getting scrapped of the final.
The IT team could not play to the expectations.
Well IT team is out of the tournament but all football fans must reach the football ground to witness the finals of this mega event. We are expecting the highest level of football from the two best teams of the tournament.

Another fine performance by JEC. Great team game and awesomely timed jumps proved deadly for the opponents. BIT Mesra bagged their match making their smart passes the sight of the game. Match timings proved a blessing in disguise for MERI as they were awarded a walkover in the absence of injured YMCA players. GCET players took full advantage of their high shoulders against BIT Durg and made some awesome baskets.

IT BHU girls gave another fine performance against BSA CET girls. Saumya and Prachi emerged as the jewels again . It was a mesmerizing win by 20-1.

UGI again suffered their problem of "BHAUKALI" players as they tried all the tricks out from the style book but they all resulted in utter failures. CHACHA and Arvind were the hereoes again.

JEC won their game with absolute easiness against BSA CET. BIT Mesra won their second match of the day against BIT Durg.       BAS-ITM won their match beating Galgotians by a single point. Competition remained cut throat during the whole match.

Day 2: Hockey

Our National Sport Hockey may not be the most popular of sports across the nation, but when it comes to hockey matches at Spardha, they are as energetic as electrons. The first match was between YMCA and MERI ,Kolkata which was dominated by MERI,Kolkata with the score line 8-0. But in midst of the game one of the players of the YMCA team got injured as he was hit by the hockey of another player by mistake and was immediately taken to SSL hospital. The YMCA team didn't played after that sad incident and MERI Kolkata was declared the winner. In the second match IT-BHU got a bye too as YMCA didn't played the match in the evening.

Tomorrow is a new day and hope everything goes out well in the field and we see great Hockey action..

Match Reviews:
UGI had a great style but lacked substance and their extra show off of style made them lose the match. AOT were also average during the match.ABHISHEK MALWI of Malwa  played exceptionally well.

In girls clash, PRACHI from IT team played a great game.MONICA was a bit rough with opponent but was the best. The opponenets of IT BHU were never in the game but NO.15 an NO. 4 were quite famous among the crowd of K.N,MODI.

K.N.MODI said that it was not there original basketball team and they were happy just to participate(GREAT ATTITUDE). When MONICA(captain) was asked for her views about opponenet she said "you yourself saw the match so now no need to comment on them.(WHAT ATTITUDE!!!!!)

The IT Junta didn’t disappoint as they came out in huge numbers to support the Girls’ Basket Ball Team.
